Spring/Summer 2020 - UPDATE

After much thought and deliberation, Wilson Little League has made the difficult decision to cancel the spring/summer 2020 ball season.

After confirmation from District 6 and reviewing what other leagues are doing, we have decided to offer one of FOUR choices for our players going forward. Please take a moment to review the choices and submit your response using the link below.(please check email associated with your account) If you have previously requested a refund, please note that no action to your account has been taken to date; a review of the options below and a response will be needed going forward.

OPTION ONE -  Apply your Spring/Summer registration to the Fall 2020 season with no additional cost increase. This option is the most effective for the league. It also allows us to really prepare for a Fall season by already having the commitment of players and to schedule the start of practices sometime in mid August.

OPTION TWO - Request a refund for the 2020 Spring/ Summer season minus any non refundable costs the league cannot absorb.  We will begin processing refunds for those who want it by June 30th. All refunds will be issued via check. If refunded, option three will not be available for play in another league and if registration cost is higher for the fall season then the prevailing fall season costs will apply.

OPTION THREE - Continue with Spring/Summer play but within another League (an additional cost may or may not apply as most other leagues had a substantially higher registration cost for the Spring season) Please notate in link which league you wish to be contacted by. WLL will discuss registration particulars with them prior to them contacting you. Any additional costs (IF needed) will be known and can be relayed to you at that time. Your play within that league will be strictly for the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 impact and play for the 2021 season will be back within your original league boundaries.

OPTION FOUR - Donate your Spring 2020 registration to the league. Thank you in advance if you choose this option as it may allow for a greater absorption of costs and a greater refund or cost offset amount for those in need.

Due to our already super low Spring 2020 registration fees, we cannot apply any Spring 2020 payments to the Spring 2021 season. This years registration costs were very low, especially when compared to other leagues in the area. With just enough to cover insurance, charter, uniforms and some basic prep fees; we have no cushion to absorb the unprecedented impact of the pandemic affecting our community. No fundraising or sponsor income over the past few years has also affected our ability to absorb additional costs. Now you might ask why we were so low and that is a great question. We wanted to increase the participation of our youth and offer a great experience to the kids. If we can increase youth participation by making it affordable, then we hoped to see an increase in our parental volunteers. Remember, we are an ALL VOLUNTEER organization and WLL has been struggling. The volunteers we have are fighting hard to keep things going. We are looking to have a great fall season and some assistance from you will be needed to make that happen. Without your help, we will not be able to continue in 2021.
